Le mascherine chirurgiche contro il Covid non danno problemi ai bambini

 

Lo studio pubblicato su Jamanetwork:

Esaminati 47 casi in cui le mascherine, indossate per un’ora non hanno dato problemi.

Il dato porta a concludere che anche i piccoli sotto i tre anni potrebbero indossare questi presidi antiCovid con grande beneficio nel frenare la diffusione del virus di cui i bambini (anche piccoli) sono spesso portatori asintomatici

COMMENT:

Although this was a small study, the good news is that no adverse respiratory effects were apparent in healthy children 4 months to <2 years old when wearing surgical face masks for short periods of time. These data suggest that the American Academy of Pediatrics recommendation to avoid face masks in children <3 years should be reevaluated.
